Beyond the fiction

Supporting the fight against human trafficking and child exploitation.

The Silent Sentinel explores difficult subjects including abuse, exploitation, and human trafficking. Those themes are fictional, but the harm they reflect is very real.

It's a tale that underscores the urgency of combating this global menace, a mission passionately pursued by Thorn and the Innocent Lives Foundation.

I wanted this part of the site to do more than provide background for a novel. If these subjects are going to appear in the story, I also want readers to have a direct path to organizations doing real work to protect children and combat exploitation.

Their inclusion here does not imply endorsement of The Silent Sentinel, The Echo Phantom Chronicles, or this website.

Organization

Thorn

Thorn is a child-safety nonprofit that uses technology, research, and partnerships to help protect children from sexual abuse and exploitation in the digital age.

Organization

Innocent Lives Foundation

The Innocent Lives Foundation uses OSINT and cybersecurity expertise to identify anonymous child predators, develop actionable case information, and provide reports to law enforcement. The organization also publishes educational resources for parents, guardians, and the public.

Why this matters

Fiction can point toward real action.

A thriller can create distance from a difficult subject. Real victims and survivors do not have that distance. If something in the story raises a concern about a real person, or you need to report suspected exploitation or online crime, use the resources below rather than contacting me through the author site.
